I understand all too well that you are about to make one of the most important decisions of your child’s life. Therefore, I feel humbled that you are considering Smart E. Pants Academy as the place for your child to begin his/her academic career.

For me, Smart E. Pants is more than a preschool. It’s a “Home away from Home” for the little ones. You see, I founded Smart E. Pants Academy after realizing that no other preschool had what I desperately wanted for my son. Because like you, I wanted a place where my child could learn, thrive, be engaged, socialize, express himself, feel comfortable, gain self-confidence, be safe, and most importantly - happy.

I have more than 15 years of experience teaching children of all ages and exceptionalities. This experience allowed me to create the very special Early Childhood Program that now exists because I felt there was a need in our community for a school that would cover not only the basics but go above and beyond what other schools offer.  That’s precisely why your child is not just “one of the bunch” at our school.  Our teachers – many of whom are mothers just like you and me - treat their students as their own. As a matter of fact, you may hear them refer to their students as “my kids.” Our students are happy to come to school. They look forward to school. They ask about their friends and teachers when there’s no school.

This atmosphere is created as a direct result of our passion and commitment to learning and constant communication. We get that you want to know exactly what is going on with the child on a daily basis, so we make that a top priority. Pictures are uploaded daily on our members-only Shutterfly. Details of your child’s day and reminders are at your fingertips with the very convenient and easy to use app “ClassDojo”.

We have actively chosen to keep our ratios very low and have individualized and group activities to ensure the children not only get the group interaction they need, but that their individual needs are also met. Smart E. Pants Academy’s unique curriculum revolves around the belief that each child learns differently. Therefore, at a very early age, it is important that our students be exposed to different modalities. Our curriculum places emphasis on individualized learning through a combination of Traditional, Montessori, Harvard Project Zero, Creative, and Social/Emotional elements. This mix ensures we focus on the development of the whole child. Because we value being an extension of the home, we work hand-in-hand with the parents so that together, we can be a positive influence in the child’s life. Among others, we offer:

●       Traditional curriculum with Montessori components

●       Very low student to teacher ratio

●       Spanish two times a week

●       Social-Emotional curriculum

●       Warm and nurturing atmosphere in a safe setting

●       Individualized and group-based methodology

●       Daily communication with every family

●       Certified Teachers with a Bachelor’s Degree or higher

●       iPad or computer in every classroom

I look forward to having your child be a part of our “Home away from Home”!
