The academic world grows increasingly competitive each year, as a rising number of college applicants vie for a limited number of spots in colleges and universities. Experts predict applications will continue to rise faster than openings at most colleges through about 2010. As a result, the likelihood of an applicant making it into his/her first choice of college has dramatically fallen. According to recent statistics, an estimated fifty percent of college applicants will be rejected by their first choice school this year.
Therefore, in order to better prepare students for the standardized tests, Smart E. Pants Academy offers a number a different courses both during the week and on weekends to accommodate high school students’ needs and schedules.
The typical comprehensive preparation program takes 30 hours to complete. Each of these courses is geared to the needs of each individual test. For example, the key to a better test score is not so much learning new material, but rather learning HOW to take the test. As a result, our course emphasizes the importance of test-taking strategies and teaches efficient and effective standardized test tips. It is about studying smarter rather than harder and recognizing flags that give away right or wrong answers. These techniques are then applied in actual test questions.
